Give thanks for your community

Ecclesiastes 4:10 ESV

For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up!

We often don’t think of the people around us as God’s blessing to us, but they are. I recently went through a very difficult period in my life and felt alone. Truth is I isolated myself. When I finally reached out to a friend, it was like the ten-ton boulder that was on my back was being lifted. She was who God used to help me through.

Today I want Ecclesiastes 4:10 to resonate in your spirit. Take stock of who it is you have around you and let them know how grateful you are that they are in your life. A positive community can be the difference between depression and joy, wealth and poverty, fulfilling your purpose or staying in fear.

I know the pandemic has made each of us distant from each other but if you haven’t connected in a while, I want to encourage you to do so. Not only are they a gift to you, but you’re a gift to them. You are the joy bringer, the wealth magnet, the purpose pusher, someone is waiting on you. We often want to be sent to the nations when God is saying its your brother or sister, its your coworker or church member, it’s your friend that needs your gifts.

Give thanks for your community.
