Thank God For Small Victories

“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”

Today I am thankful for small victories. We are so often consumed with the big goal or reaching our deepest desire that we neglect the small successes that we have.

If we look at Jesus for a moment, while he was focused on his ultimate goal he didn’t see the miracles, teachings or discipleship moments as an less important than the cross. They were all part of the same goal and he lived in each moment giving his all to it.

As I reflected on some of the small victories that I have accomplished I couldn’t help but give thanks for the Lord‘s faithfulness and compassion towards me, for it would have been impossible to be successful without him.

Reflect on your life today and write out at least three small victories that you’ve seen since the beginning of the year. Then reflect on the steps it took to get there. Take a moment to pray and thank God for allowing you to accomplish what you did.
